PDA Awareness

PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) is quickly becoming one of the more recognised conditions on the Autism Spectrum. This course aims to equip your staff and members of your organisation with the skills to support this new condition. PDA is similar to Autism in many ways, but requires a specific approach to support effectively and ensure the individual is able to meet their full potential.

This course will cover:

  • The History of PDA
  • What is PDA and how is it diagnosed
  • PDA and Autism: is there a link?
  • How can we support a child/young person with PDA?

Who is this course for ?

With the increase in PDA diagnosis in the UK from both private and NHS teams, it is now more important than ever to equip your staff with the abilities to raise and meet these new challenges. Therefore, we believe that everyone will benefit from an introduction to the condition.
