PIP Support
Personal Independence Payment can involve a lot of information, evidence and important deadlines. Our PIP Support service gives you a guided online journey to help you explain how your difficulties affect everyday life and prepare for each stage of the PIP process.
Support throughout your PIP journey
You start by telling us about your day-to-day difficulties, the help you need and the evidence you have. Your secure PIP Support area then changes with you as your claim progresses, so you only see the information and actions that are relevant at that point.
How we can help
Our service is designed to help you explain your needs clearly and keep the PIP process manageable.
- Guided questions covering the PIP Daily Living and Mobility activities.
- Space to explain real examples of what happens in everyday life.
- Upload supporting evidence and documents securely.
- Prepare clear information to support your official PIP form.
- Guidance for assessments and decisions.
- Support with Mandatory Reconsideration and appeal stages if needed.
What the service does not do
PIP Support helps you prepare and organise your information, but there are some important boundaries.
- We cannot guarantee that PIP will be awarded.
- We do not make the decision about which PIP award you should receive.
- We do not provide legal representation.
- We do not replace the official DWP claim or appeal process.
- Tribunal attendance is not included as standard.
What we look at
PIP is about how a health condition or disability affects everyday activities, rather than simply the name of a diagnosis.
The help, prompting, supervision or adaptations you may need.
Medication, therapy and monitoring a health condition.
Speaking, hearing, understanding and communicating with others.
Washing, dressing, eating, budgeting and other everyday activities.
Engaging with people and the support needed to do this reliably.
Planning and following journeys and moving around.
Who is this service for?
PIP Support is for people who are making or managing a Personal Independence Payment claim and would benefit from guided support through the process.
A family member, carer or supporter can also help you complete the information where appropriate.
Designed to be manageable
You do not have to complete everything in one sitting.
- Save your progress and return later.
- Use a phone, tablet or computer.
- Type your answers or use supported voice answers where available.
- Upload evidence as you go.
- Only complete the sections relevant to your current stage.
