DLA (Disability Living Allowance) is a financial benefit available to parents and carers of children under the age of 16 who requires much more looking after than a child of the same age without a disability.

How much can I get?
DLA is made up of two different payments one for Mobility and the other for Care.
The Care Component has three levels:
Low Rate - £23.60
Middle Rate - 59.70
Higher Rate- £89.15
The Mobility component had two levels:
Low Rate- £23.60
High Rate - £ 62.25
The payment is normally made every 4 weeks.
How to Claim
In order to claim DLA make sure that you meet the eligibility guidelines.
You can then either print off a DLA Claim Form or you can contact DWP to request a form. We suggest contacting DLA as your claim will begin from the day you make the phone call.
