Autism Awareness Week 2019

Check below for everything ASD Helping Hands has planned during the most important week of the year and help us reach our target of £4000.00!

This year we are celebrating Autism and Inclusiveness, from information days, online Q&A session to an exciting Pokemon Go event we have something for everyone whether you are personally affected by Autism, know someone who has Autism or you just want some more information. Now is your chance to get involved.

From Monday you will be able to show your support on Facebook by using our Autism Awareness profile frame and check out the first of our daily blog posts Autism: From the beginning.

Tuesday we will be attending a workshop hosted by Norfolk County Council advising on the complex needs provision in Norfolk. Your blog post for Tuesday is the 7 things you need to know about Autism!

Wednesday marks our first ever Facebook Q&A session. Between 12:00-1:00 we will be on hand to answer all your questions on Autism and Supporting someone with Autism. If you want to submit your question(s) beforehand please email them to asdhelpinghands@gmail.com. We will aim to get through as many questions as we can in the hour! Afterwards, you can check out the daily post: ASD not a badly behaved child.

Thursday we have some exciting news to announce in our blog post: Pre-diagnosis support. What’s that??

Also on Thursday, you can grab one of our downloadable resources absolutely free using code ‘ASDaware‘ from our online shop. Check out all our resources now to make your choice.

Friday we will be on hand at the Autism Awareness event at The Forum, Norwich organised by the All Age Partnership Board, with a variety of activities for younger visitors and talking to everyone about Autism and how they can best support those with Autism. In preparation for our big event on Saturday, our blog post will look at Autism & Gaming.

Saturday sees our big Pokemon GO event in partnership with Niantic. They have agreed to hold a special event to help us raise awareness and donations for the charities work. All donations given during this time will be matched by Niantic. On Sunday we will wrap up the week looking at everything we have done and announcing the winners of our Pokemon contest from Saturday.

Last Year we manage to raise £2000.00 during this week. Help us double this amount so that we can continue our work.
